It is a travesty that J. Cole isn't featured on the MTV Hottest MCs list this year. Cole World: The Sideline Story was one of the best rap debuts in 2011, so for someone of J. Cole's calibre and talent to get ignored is quite simply not acceptable. Must try better MTV.
So, what does Cole do? Why, he just goes and drops a shit hot track, of course. 'Grew Up Fast' is pure fire from the North Carolina rapper. Cole's ability to tell a story through his lyrics is second to none in the rap game and he really is a special talent. 'Lost Ones' is my favourite J. Cole song, and 'Grew Up Fast' definitely has a similar retrospective aspect to it. Listen to 'Grew Up Fast' below.
