There was only really one choice for SOTD, today. It was revealed last night that the most awarded female artist of all time, Whitney Houston, sadly passed away. Collecting 415 awards throughout her career, it is impossible to deny that Houston is one of the best singers of all time. I do not hesitate for one moment to call this woman a legend. Unfortunately, just like when Amy Winehouse passed away last year, people will bring up her substance abuse, and use that as an excuse to tarnish her reputation. These people should have more respect. It is always sad when a life is lost, regardless of the life they lived. If people want to celebrate the life of Whitney Houston they should be able to do so without hassle.
My favourite Whitney song is, without doubt 'How Will I Know', therefore it shall be my SOTD. RIP Whitney Houston, 9th August, 1963 - 11th February, 2012.
