Tyga has been grafting hard over the last few years, remember 'Coconut Juice'? Well, now he's blowing up in a big way.
Being signed to Young Money definitely has it's perks when it comes to being marketed to a large audience, but that doesn't necessarily automatically guarantee success. (Hold tight Gudda Gudda, your day will come). Obviously you require some talent to make it big (see: Drake and Nicki Minaj), and Tyga definitely has an ear for an effective rhyme and flow. You will more than likely have heard the stand out single, 'Rack City', from Tyga's second album, Careless World: Rise of the King, which was released recently. Fortunately for Tyga, the quality of this album remains pretty constant throughout.
Today's SOTD is my favourite track from the album, and purely by coincidence it features the 'Queen of Hip-Hop' Nicki Minaj. 'Muthafucka Up' is a track that demands to be listened to on repeat due to the outstanding performances from both Tyga and Nicki. Tyga has never sounded better, and Nicki turns in a typically amazing feature. Check out 'Muthafucka Up' below.
'Muthafucka Up' reminded me of another brilliant song, by Spank Rock. I'm sure you'll work out why. 'B.O.O.T.A.Y.'.
